President's Message

FPA President Tammy Wildy

The Florida Polygraph Association celebrated its fortieth year this past November. The winter conference
in Stuart Florida served as the perfect event to celebrate our anniversary. A good time was had by all; the
food was great and our special entertainment by member Craig Harper who was our DJ for the evening
made the event memorable for everyone. Many old friends returned and they brought back some great
memories for all. Several past presidents were present and we made a special presentation to John and
Sharon Fluno, who have only missed two meetings since John joined in 1974. His lovely wife, Sharon has
stood by his side at each seminar. We are blessed to have them with us at each seminar, illustrating the
bonds that last a lifetime when you work and play together. Thanks to the hard work of our Seminar Host,
Peggy Hallock-Kraker and her helper, John Thorpe, this was indeed a great time and a great learning event
with the fantastic instruction of Donnie Dutton and Chip Morgan.

Another under recognized faithful, who has only missed one seminar since he joined in 1974, is Mac
McGinnis. Mac missed his only seminar when Hurricane Charlie destroyed his business. We all remember
Hurricane Charlie for the widespread destruction it caused and many of us were either affected or involved
in the response and recovery. Charlie knocked Mac down but Mac came back stronger and more ferocious
than Hurricane Charlie. So, I would like to say a special thank you to Mac McGinnis in being a role model
for consistent and continuing education by attending seminars.

Peggy Hallock-Kraker was the recipient of our first George Slattery Award. We felt she was most deserving
since she diligently fought to have an award named after the former FPA Present in honor of his many
contributions to the FPA and the polygraph profession.

As always, I would also like to thank all of our seminar sponsors, the conference could not have been a
success without you.

I also have been excited about the new members who have joined the FPA in the past year. They bring a
wealth of experience both public and private to our organization. Our membership is our foundation and I
encourage our new members to get involved. I also encourage any member who knows a new examiner to
invite them to join.

Our next conference is June 21 and 22 at the Marriott Orlando Lake Mary. This is a great venue, we have
been here before and it has always been a success. We have a very aggressive training schedule planned
that you will enjoy and find informative. Also, as a reminder, June is election time. Be sure to plan on
staying over for the Business meeting so you can cast your vote. I look forward to seeing you there.

If there is anything I can do for you please feel free to contact me. Our board and officers are always ready
to assist and our contact information can be found on this web site.

May God bless you all and I wish health, hope, love, and happiness to you, your family and friends. And may
God bless America.

Semper Veritas, Tammy Wildy, FPA President
